A renowned economist and governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Kogi state, Dr. Victor Adoji has vowed to give his support to whoever emerges the party’s flag bearer in the event that he fails in his ambition to run for the exulted position as a candidate.
Adoji who was formerly with the Zenith Bank PLC as Executive Director in charge of Public Affairs before venturing into politics, affirmed that the woeful administration of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of the incumbent governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello deserves a joint struggle to flush the system out of Lugard House come November 16 governorship election in the state.
Addressing journalists at a Media Parley organized by the Kogi NUJ , in Lokoja on Monday, Adoji expressed worry over the maladministration of Governor Bello saying that his ambition has nothing to do with desperation but a collective fight to push him out irrespective of political and ethnic affiliations.
The PDP governorship aspirant promised that he will give priority to agriculture for food security and employment creation and generation for the unemployed in the state as well as change the state from civil service state to an Industrialized one.
Adoji admonished political gladiators in the state not see politics as a do or die affairs but as a game that should be centred on making their immediate community a better place for citizens and even generations yet unborn.
According to him,”it’s not about me but about us,my main believe is to collectively chased out the incumbent”,he added
Adoji also said that as a renowned economist and resourceful person, he has done much for the less privileged and the needy in Kogi state.
The former Senatorial aspirant in the last senatorial election further expressed his resolve to leave a positive footprint in the sands of time when he eventually becomes the Governor of Kogi state.
