Burnt remains of the MTN office
The MTN office at Bodija in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital has been set ablaze by some unknown persons late last night, following what some residents described as a reprisal of the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
Some protesters had tried to attack other South African businesses located in some parts of Ibadan yesterday, but were prevented by the presence of heavy security personnel stationed around.
As at the time of filing this report, the fire is still raging and firefighters are already at the scene trying to quell the inferno. Details later….
