Arc Umar Ibrahim Maudo, the Media Adviser to the National Secretary of the Social Democratic Party,SDP, Alh Shehu Musa Gabam, has resigned his position in the party for lack of transparency and internal democracy in the party.
Arc Maudo in an interview with our correspondent in Tilde ,Toro Local Government Council of Bauchi state stated that one of the reasons for his defection is that the party has no people oriented program of development for the grassroots .
He said ,”I have the passion of building my grassroots politics and to ensure that people of Tilde in Toro enjoy the dividends of democracy which is still lacking in SDP,”.
Maudo who is also the National Chairman Umar Maudo Foundation ,UMF, and speaker Youth Assembly of Nigeria ,Tilde ward reiterated his total commitment to the well-being of the vulnerable and less privilege Nigerian .
He maintained that the failure of any politician has to do with his poor relationship, a principle to which his party has become unpopular .
According to him,over the years development in Toro LGA by those who are elected to attract meaningful projects had failed to do the needful
He said;” I’m just eyeing the councillorship race to commence my political career .
He advised politician on the need for them to focus more on people needs and to also add value to the society especially in this period of covid-19 pandemic which a global threat to humanity.
He says ,”I have officially resigned my membership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after meetings and due consultations with my ardent supporters in Toro LGA so I deem it mandatory to announced to the world my stand “.
Arc Maudo Ibrahim stressed that ,” my resignation from SDP is never my own wish but it is due to my urgent need by other Political parties who are working hard to improve the people of Tilde in Toro LGA not individual interest.
He added ,the APC ,PDP are more popular and they trying to secure me membership and subsequently the flag bearer in the fcoming local governments and ward elections in Bauchi State.
He stated that ,” I shall continue to protect the interest of Tilde Ward People and Sustain good Governance in my Ward and beyond while wishing the SDP the best in its endeavours.
Arch. Maudo is known to be one of the strong youths in Bauchi State who actively promoted the interest of SDP both in Social media platforms and in Tilde Fulani of Toro Local Government of Bauchi State.
