The Quack Doctor, Jamiu
A quack doctor, Salahudeen Jamiu, 56. has been arrested by the police in Ogun State for allegedly carrying out an abortion on a house wife that led to her death.
Image maker of the Police in Ogun state, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following a report the husband of the deceased lodged at the Onipanu division on Saturday.
The fake doctor on interrogation, according to Oyeyemi, admitted he was unqualified and carrying out an abortion on the deceased. He confessed further that it was fear that made him dump the corpse in the frontage of a house close to the late woman’s residence.
The corpse has been deposited at General Hospital Ota mortuary for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police, (CP) Bashir Makama has ordered the transfer of the suspect to the homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for proper investigation and prosecution.
