Twitter Ban: Nigeria Loses N2.1 billion Each Day

Here it is: Each hour costs Nigeria N90.7M ($250,600). A total shutdown costs $5,593,819 per hour!

According to NetBlocks Cost of Shutdown Tool (COST) , which estimates the economic impact of an internet disruption, mobile data blackout or app restriction using indicators from the World Bank, ITU, Eurostat and U.S. Census, Nigeria may have lost close to $ 6, 014, 390 estimated to N2, 177,089,051 billion in one day alone.
