Stoke Shocks Arsenal 1-0, Burnley Crumbles To W/Brom, Man U Ruthless; Falcao saves Monaco, Juve Wins

Stoke scorer, Jese

Stoke vs Arsenal: Can you imagine a better start to a half than that? Arsenal who looked too superior to Leicester with a 4-3 defeat last week failed to shine before a Stoke team playing at home to the cheers of supporters who could not believe their eyes that their darling team would shock their visitors 1-0 in a hard tackled match. Jese, on his debut for Stoke, having just signed on loan from Paris St-Germain, put the Potters ahead, 90 seconds into the second half

Robson.Kanu scores for West Brom

Burnley vs West Brom: Star of the EPL opening games, Burnley, which trounced League champion, Chelsea 3-2 last weekend, surprisingly crumbled at home to West Brom. Substitute Hal Robson-Kanu scored the winner and was later sent off as West Brom made it two wins from two matches with victory at Burnley. Robson-Kanu who came on seven minutes earlier, gave the opener with a brilliant strike past keeper Tom Heaton.

Richarlison score for Watford

Bournemouth vs Watford: Brazilian winger Richarlison was described as “a great talent” by manager Marco Silva after his first Premier League goal helped Watford to victory over Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium. Match ended 2-0 in favor of the visitors

Maguire scores his first goal for Leicester

Leicester vs Brighton. Harry Maguire scored his first Leicester goal as the Foxes eased to a first win of the season against a timid Brighton side in a scrappy affair at King Power Stadium. The hosts led inside a minute when Shinji Okazaki tapped in after new Seagulls goalkeeper Mathew Ryan spilled a low effort from the impressive Riyad Mahrez.

Tadic’s penalty gives Southampton the winning goal

Southampton vs West Ham: Ten-man West Ham twice came from behind but Charlie Austin’s injury time penalty gave Southampton their first victory under Mauricio Pellegrino. Having failed to score in their last six home matches, Saints took the lead after only 10 minutes when Manolo Gabbiadini side-footed past Joe Hart. West Ham’s problems compounded as Marko Arnautovic was sent off for elbowing Jack Stephens, before Dusan Tadic made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after Jose Fonte brought down Steven Davis.

Mane scores the winner for Liverpool

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace. Sadio Mane earned Liverpool their first Premier League win of the season as Crystal Palace suffered a second straight defeat despite an improved display at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s side were heading for a frustrating draw after wasting a string of chances when Mane prodded past Wayne Hennessey for his second league goal of the campaign.

Lukaku is the fifth player to net in his first two Premier League appearances for Manchester United – after Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Anthony Martial, Federico Macheda and Louis Saha

Swansea Vs Man U Swansea ended last season well and have only been beaten once at home since January, but on the evidence of these teams’ opening games it was hard to make any sort of case for Swansea here.

They have lost Gylfi Sigurdsson to Everton for E45m and he was their main goal-getter and with Fernando Llorente still injured, the Swans lost their main goal creator and scorer. But the truth of the matter is that they met a ruthless Manchester United team. With Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic link up for the first time the midfield was too much for Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

Eric Bailey scored the first first goal. Then ten minutes to the end, Man U sparked off let a jet engine with danger man Romelu Lukaku proved his mettle, followed shortly after by Paul Pogba who made it three, both goals scored within two minutes.  Anthony Martial scored the fourth. That three-goal spurt from Manchester United came in three minutes and 41 seconds: Simply ruthless.
