Revolution Now convener, Omoyele Sowore and his co-accused Olawale Bakare have regained freedom from the custody of the State Security Service, DSS
The Federal High Court in Abuja had earlier in the day on Thursday ordered the State Security Service(SSS) to release the Sahara Reporters Publisher, Bakare, within 24 hours.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu who gave the order on Thursday, following the agency’s disobedience to a court order to release them on October 21, threatened to commit the topmost official of the Service to prison if they disobeyed her directive.
Mr Sowore, was arrested on August 3 by the SSS for planning a protest termed RevolutionNow, and charged to court on a seven-count charge of treasonable felony, fraud, cyber-stalking and insulting President Muhammadu Buhari.
The court had adjourned for a hearing on its order for December 6
