The ex-Chairman of Shendam Local Government Area on the platform of the All Progression Congress,(APC) ,Hon Hamza Muhammad Auwal of Shendam ward has resigned membership over internal crises and defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP
He disclosed that his decision to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party ,(PDP) of Plateau State Chapter was bourn out the desire to promote the tenets of democracy in Plateau State .
Hon.Hamza Muhammed in his letter dated 5th February, 2024 to the All Congress (APC) Plateau State Chapter indicating that he has dumped them to a new political party .
He explained further that the people of Yelwa -Shendam are willing ready to vote PDP in 2027 so he advised the Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to go home and sleep without stressing himself to campaign .
Hamza assured the government of state of their unalloyed support to PDP because “we didn’t witness democracy dividends under the leadership of APC régime so our detection to the opposition party is for development purposes.”
He stated that the people of Yelwa-Shendam would continue to align themselves with the party that can provide dividends of democracy and carry all and sundry .
According to him, “our total cost detection to PDP is home coming to strengthen our relationship with stakeholders in Plateau politics.”
Dear sir, “RESIGNATION OF MY MEMBERSHIP,” With reference to the above caption head line, I want to officially tender my resignation effective immediately from the All Progressive Congress (APC)as a party.
It was a great pleasure to serve in the party as a former LGA Chairman and now serving as Ex-officio and I want to thank all my colleagues in struggle for given me such a great honour.
I wish the party Good Luck in all their political endeavour.

He expressed gratitude to the state chapter for finding him worthy to serve the party ,but called on his supporters especially those that love democracy to join him .
