The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District who was also re-elected to represent the zone at the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye has debunked the wide-spread rumour making the round that he is planning to dump PDP for APC.
The Senator made this known in a press statement issued on Friday by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr.Gideon Ayodele which was made available to journalists in Lokoja.
According to the Senator, “the malicious and satanic rumour is being spread by the APC supporters in Kogi state regain relevance that they don’t deserve.
“Ordinarily we would have ignored the rumour for the fact that it does not make sense that a man who went into an election as an opposition yet for the love and support of the good people of Kogi West defeated the state might can’t disappoint his people in that deceit rumour
“We want to simply state that there is no relationship between light and darkness.
“Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye stands for light and the APC led government in Kogi state represents darkness.
“It is laughable to imagine that Senator Dino will join a government that has for the past 3 years and half impoverished the good people of Kogi state which led to several loss of lives,” he stated.
According to the statement, their rumour has further shown how relevant Senator Dino Melaye is in Kogi State political stage and Nigeria at large
He assured his supporters and the PDP family that “we are prepared to continue to fight for the liberation of our people in Kogi state and this struggle is a struggle of no retreat no surrender “
