Mr Sam Nda-Isaiah, the publisher of Leadership newspaper, is dead
He died during a brief illness, reportedly according to family source.
He was aged 58.
A pharmacist by training, Sam Nda-Isaiah, is better remembered as a journalist and politician, having worked most of his life in the media and later as an active member of the All Progressives Congress, APC on whose platform he ran as a presidential aspirant in 2015.
He however worked briefly as a pharmacist at the Kano Specialist Hospital before moving to General Hospital, Minna before taking up journalism.
He began his journalism carrier as a columnist with The Daily Trust Editorial Board as a board member and also worked as a committee member in the Kano State Government to revive The Triumph, a Kano owned newspaper.
In 2003, he headed Mohammadu Buhari’s presidential campaign publicities.
In 2001, Sam Nda-Isaiah founded the Leadership Newspaper Group, where he wrote a popular weekly column, “Last Word and Earshot,” a carry-over from Daily Trust.
