Comrade Nanmak Peter Timkat
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ,Comrade Nanmak Peter Timkat has assured the people of Tarok nation of filling the leadership gaps and failure of poor representation that brought underdevelopment to their land.
He said this while declaring his intention for the seat of Plateau State House of Assembly of Langtang North-North constituency to bring in experience and his desirable quality representatives .
Speaking on his ambition to contest for Langtang North-North constituency in Jos at Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi on Tuesday ,Comrade NT Timkat reeled out his blueprint if given the mandate
According to him, “I’m vying for the position of Langtang North-North seat address youth restiveness ,poverty and food insecurity among the jobless Nigerian youths. We need the legislation framework that can also provide feedback at this critical period where everyone feel everything is absolutely wrong.”
Timkat noted that he is seeking the leadership that can inspire the youths and give leadership that is people oriented.
Timkat also revealed that giving the opportunity to serve his people would witness a more active and robust representation in the legislature with bills that can provide entrepreneurial benefits to all and particularly his people.
He disclosed that “looking at Nigeria failed leadership, most of our youths are roaming about the streets in search of white collar job without requisite skills to help themselves to become self- reliant and to also contribute to the economic growth of the state.
Comrade Timkat maintained that there are so many business opportunity that needed to be explored especially for the youth ‘of my age group’ that are university graduates who should be engaged in meaningful projects that can improve their well-being .
He explained further that though he is a political associate of the former Minister for Sports and Youth Development Barr . Solomon Dalung, he said he is experienced enough to know the functions and qualities required for his proposed legislative role.
He stressed that he is a man of himself and he has his own family and Dalung also has his own family to carter for their need and well-being ,adding ,he has his own conviction and also we have work together although Dalung never appointed me as his aide but I enjoy working together with him of which I learned a lot of leadership inspiration from him .
Timkat added “I served him well and in doing that I also learnt a lot from him, especially maturity in handling leadership role even as he has defected to another political party while I remain in APC .
Timkat who is a Senior Lecturer with the state polytechnic said he is into farming and most of campaign fund would be sourced by him, encouraging the youths to pay attention agriculture and engage in mining exploration in Plateau South.
He urged the youths to join his campaign train to ensure that they have a person who would join hands with them to be liberated from the shackles of poverty .
Timkat promised to be transparent and accountable to the people within the four years tenure if elected, predicting his victory “if election will be free and fair.”
