Police fail to arraign Ex-Gov. Dariye father’s Murderers As Suspects Escaped in Jailbreak

The Police in Plateau State on Wednesday failed to arraign before the State High Court sitting in Jos  suspected killers of the ex-Governor Dariye’s father, Dariye Dafwan, as one of the suspects escaped during the jailbreak incident a fortnight ago .

All the suspects were scheduled to be arraigned and charged to court on completion of investigations but one of them escape during the jailbreak at the Jos Correctional Center on November 27, 2021.

The case had been adjourned to December 8, 2021 for the culprits to be arraigned before Justice Geoffrey Kamyal for the abduction in June 2020 of the elderly Dariye, who was killed after the ransom of  N10 million was paid to the kidnappers.

The culprits who were under investigation by the Plateau Command of the Nigeria Police Force after the recovery of the victim’s body are eight in number.

The eight (8) notorious high-profile kidnapping suspects  included one Abubakar Mohammed a.k.a Buba ‘m’ 23yrs, native of Gada Biyu in Daffo district, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State. Buba. He is one of the principal suspects in the kidnap operation that escaped during the recent jail break.

The seven (7) other members of the syndicate are Ya’u Saidu aka Ya’u Kaban m’ 40yrs, from Kaban Village, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State, Titus Ezekiel 34yrs from from Horop, Bokkos LGA, Dauda Isah ‘m’ 30yrs, from Horop, Sunday Ibrahim m’ 35yrs, Mushere tribe from Horop, Mangut Shumwar ‘m’ 30yrs, from Horop, Henry Amos ‘m’ 35yrs native of Horop, and Jethro Ngusen ‘m’ 57yrs, native of Horop.

Mr Jethro Ngusen, the mastermind and convener of the gang, was in court alongside the other seven but they have to undergo fresh charges .
