The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded primary elections into State House of Assembly and House of Representatives positions across the country has elected their candidates in Kogi central.
In the central senatorial district of the state, Saliu Salawu Ogembe emerged as the candidate for Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal constituency, while Aloysius Adeiza Okino emerged as the party’s candidate for Ajaokuta federal constituency.
A former Okehi Local Government Chairman, Abdulmalik Abdulraheem Danga emerged as Adavi/Okehi Reps flag-bearer.
In the state House of Assembly primaries, Ovurevu Sheidu Abara emerged in Adavi, while Mohammed Haruna Ganaja emerged in Ajaokuta.
A former publicity secretary of the Kogi PDP, Prince Bode Ogunmola picked the ticket for Ogori-Magongo, while Onivehu Musa Siyaka emerged in Okehi for state assembly respectively.
Ajanaku Tijani Umar emerged in Okene II state Constituency.
The party would be conducting the primary for Senate aspirants on Tuesday.
Amongst the contenders for the Senate ticket in Kogi Central are Ahmed Ogembe, Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, Abdulkareem Salihu, Muhammed Onimisi, Etudaye Muhammed and Mahmud Ademu Attah.
Meanwhile, Victor Adoji has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party Flagbearer for the forthcoming general election for Kogi East Senatorial District.
He defeated his closet rival, Aminu Abubakar Suleiman to pick the PDP ticket
Victor Alewo Adoji Emerged PDP senatorial candidate for Kogi East with 177 votes to beat closest rivals: Aminu Abubakar 54, Elder Ubolo Okpanachi 42, and Isaac Alfa 20.
Adoji while speaking after he was declared the winner, extended the olive branch to his co- contestants, urged them to join hands with him to win the general election.
He commended the peaceful conduct of the Primaries, promised to continue with his good work if elected at the general election.
