Rising from its meeting on Monday in Abuja, the National Working Committee, NCW, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, dissolved the exco of the Kwara State chapter of the party.

In a statement signed by National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Mai Mala Buni, National Secretary, the party said that it had decided to dissolve the party organs from the ward, local government and state executive of party in the state after it “examined irregularities that characterized the conduct and outcome of the congress that produced the leadership at all levels and reviewed the actions of some leaders of the party that emerged from the congress who participated in an open rally calling on the Senate President to decamp to the PDP”

The action, it said, was in consonance with Article 13.4 (xvi) and (xvii) of party constitution.

It set up a Caretaker Committee to be headed by Bashir Bolarinwa

Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has taken exception to the statement credited to Alhaji Jimoh Balogun, in which his contribution and membership of the APC in Kwara state was called to question.

“The truth is that those who are making this allegation are the ones who need to validate their membership of our great party, since they have left no one in any doubt about their status as ‘double agents’. Alhaji Balogun is one of the three Kwara Senatorial Chairmen who recently called on their leader to take them out of the APC. As far as our members are concerned, these Janus-faced people are just waiting to crash the APC in Kwara before they escape to the other side,” Mohammed said in a statement signed by him.
