Sgt Solomon after his arrest by the military; and while being flown away for further investigation
The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, has denied reports of any connection with the arrest of one Sgt Torsabo Solomon for his involvement in the security breach in Nigerian Defence Academy and his conveyance to the Academy for investigation.
According to Major Bashir Muhammed Jajira, Academy Public Relations Officer, Sgt Solomon, “is not in the Nigerian Defence Academy’s custody as alleged and has no connection with the Academy. The Nigerian Defence Academy is a Military Training Institution and not an Investigative Security Agency. The general public is hereby advised to disregard this misinformation and refer to relevant Investigative Security Agencies for clarification.”
He said the Nigerian Defence Academy was still working to unravel the perpetrators of the security breach on the Nigerian Defence Academy architecture and they will sooner rather than later be apprehended.
According to the story; “Air Force Officer Arrested For Working With Bandits In Connection With Deadly August Attack On NDA,” a Nigerian Air Force officer, Sergeant Torsobo Solomon has been arrested working with bandits in connection with the recent attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.
IGBERE TV recalls that two officers were killed and one other abducted during the attack on Tuesday, August 24.
Solomon, who is currently attached to the Air Force Comprehensive School, Yola, was arrested on Monday in Yola, the Adamawa state capital.
According to a top source, Sergeant Solomon was arrested on the order of the Base Commander as requested by the NDA Commander for an offence connected with the recent attack on NDA, Kaduna.
He was said to have been arrested with arms and ammunition.
The military source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “On 08 Nov 21, at about 0600hr, NAF07/ 23922, SGT Torsobo Solomon of 153 BSG (AIRFORCE COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL YOLA) was arrested on the order of the Base Commander as requested by the NDA Commander for an offence connecting with arms and ammunition with recent bandit attack at NDA Kaduna.
“At about 0815hr, ATR with reg no NAF 930 to arrive flight line to convey him from Yola to NDA KADUNA for further interrogation.
