Mo’Salah fires home the seventh goal, his second.
It was goal rain at Selhurst Park on Saturday for defending Champion Liverpool as when they crushed Crystal Palace with first half goals at 3-0 and four more in the second.
Right from the first three minutes, Liverpool dominated the match but there was no mistaking the fact that Palace resourceful striker Benteke’e absence was felt. Goals scorers were Minamino, Mane, Firmino (2), Henderson and Mo’ Salah (2) who came in as substitute for Mane.
With the comprehensive win, the Reds go six points clear on the EPL table.
Manager Jurgen Kloop put it down to the mentality of his boys. He told BT Sports:
“The boys are capable (of this) but it doesn’t happen every week. Today it clicked. This is a very intense period, the boys should be very proud of it. We take a day off tomorrow, then prepare for West Brom, and goal difference wise it is good because of the funny result at Villa.”
