It was a very sad Saturday in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital as articulated vehicle crushed an unidentified woman her and son to death along Ganaja Road.
Following the tragic incident, motorists plying Ganaja Road in Lokoja have been held up in a gridlock since the early hours of Saturday.
The victims were crushed to death around Unity Estate junction opposite House of Assembly quarters by one way passing trailer owing to the reconstruction works on the Deplorable road.
Security personnel were seen working frantically to ease the traffic to no avail.
Motorists going to the eastern part of the country through Lokoja, should consider alternative route as best option.
Meanwhile some angry mobs along the Ganaja road who were bitter over the incident have set ablaze two trailers belonging to Dangote Group of Companies as they claimed trucks killed the woman and her son.
