The All Progressive Congress, APC, female aspirant for the chairmanship of Jos North Local government, Theresa Azi has tasked politician to eschew politics of bitterness and work to restore meaningful dividends of democracy to the people.
Hon Azi who spoke with journalists during the peace management meeting held at Sumiraj Hotel Yakubu Gowon way, Jos, said it is necessary to maintain an open door policy on social and economic issues in the state for peace to exist among the different groups. She is the Chairperson of the Management Committee of the LGA.
Azi commended Governor Simon Lalong for involving the youths in skills acquisition programmes and promised to consolidate on the existing peace parleys by bringing all the warring group of youths together to ensure they understand themselves better and work towards revamping the economic fortunes of the Local government.
She called on delegates to choose the right and credible candidate for the LGA to enable it to move forward. She is contesting the seat with her Secretary, Alh Shehu Usman and the former APC chairman of Jos North LGA.
Shea asked for forgiveness from those she might have hurt while acting as Chairperson of the Management Committee of the LGA and pledged to change their fortunes with a transparent and an accountable administration that would ensure the existence of cordial relationship among all tribes and diverse religious group in the state.
