The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has been impeached by members of the House.
The impeachment took place on Monday during proceedings in the House.
The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Ojora Meranda has been elected and sworn in to replace him.
Ojora-Meranda is the younger sister of the Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdulwasiu Gbolahan Lawal.
The Deputy Chief Whip, Hon Fatai Mojeed has been elected as the Deputy Speaker.
