The Kano State Agro Pastoral Development Project, KSADP /SAA has extended support to over 300 farmers who are Quranic Reciters from Gaya Local Government area of the state.
The items of support include seeds, five fertilizer applicator, one planter, chemicals, USG applicator and one Multiple use Thresher.
At the presentation of the items to the beneficiaries, the PC, KSADP /SAA, Comrade Abdulrasheed Hamisu Kofar mata promised his continued support to the reciters and enjoined them to make good use of the items judiciously. He also promised to provide the Alarammas with flour milling machine.
He was accompanied by the project crop specialist Alh Abdullahi Isyaku Rabah from the Project Monitoring Unit, the PO’s at SAA /KSADP and SAA’s commo.
The Emir of Gaya who received the benefactors at his palace thanked them for the agric inputs. The Emir who was represented by Galadima of Gaya, Alhali Abdulkadir Abubakar also thanked Sasakawa, KSADP Kano state govt and iSDB for their support
In their remarks, the Deputy Chairman of Gaya Loca Government gave the assurance that his council will provide the suitable land where the milling machine will be mounted. The Secretary of the National Association of Quranic Reciters assured everyone of the maximum cooperation for the Sasakawa and the KSADP project and said their members will use the items judiciously.
