The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, has charged the newly deployed cadets from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, on discipline, professionalism, and open to learning during their one month attachment in the State.
The Commissioner while addressing the cadets at the Command’s headquarters in Lokoja, also urged them to make good use of the opportunity to learn practical aspects of Policing beyond the classroom.
He emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and respect for human rights as they undergo practical training.
According to the Commissioner “attachment is a crucial phase in the Cadet scheme which should be utilised judiciously to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life Policing situations.
“Endeavour to learn from both their senior and junior colleagues, engage with the public responsibly, and uphold the values of integrity, service, and justice.
“The cadets have been deployed across various Divisions and formation in the State, where they will gain hands-on experience in criminal investigation, Traffic Control and Management, Administration as well as Counter-duty”
CP Dantawaye assured the cadets of the Command’s support and encouraged them to take full advantage of the mentorship provided by experienced officers.
He also directed the Divisional Police Officers to ensure proper supervision and guidance throughout the attachment period.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of officers who will uphold the core values of the Force and contribute to the safety and security of the nation.
