As the Kogi State Local Government Councils Election draw nearer, two prominent Youth Groups, in Omala Local Government Area of the state have thrown their weight behind the candidature of Hon. Ibrahim Aboh as Chairman of the Council.
The groups under the aegis of Omala APC Youths Progressives and Omala Youths Movement gave their support yesterday at Abejukolo Headquarters of the council while Fielding questions from Journalists.
The group noted that their support for the former Council Administrator was borne out of his capacity and competence to provide needed leadership for the Omala Local Government Council.
The Youths in separate speeches admitted that the few years he was tested , he was able to entrenched good governance that has made the Council to be a model in the comity of local government administration in the state.
They added that having given his best when he was appointed allowing him to come back through the ballot will enable him to complete the developmental projects he had started.
” What we are saying is that , his experience is highly needed at this crucial moment of our development. He has shown capacity and competence, when he was appointed by the Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello as an administrator. He has proved his mettle and if he is given another opportunity through the ballot in the December 12,2020 Councils Election, he will continue with his project.
” Allowing another person to come to learn on the job will be a disservice to our people. We have X-rayed the personas jostling for the position, he still remains the best candidate that can take Omala to the next level. We are appealing to the governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello to support Hon.Ibrahim Aboh who have contributed immensely to the growth of the APC in Omala.
We condemned attempt by some persons to field intruders may not augur well for the people. We therefore call on the good people of Omala to come out enmass to declare their support for him” They appealed.
The groups further stated that Hon. Aboh’s peaceful disposition and his penchant for youths and women’s development informs their decisions to queue behind while, urging the APC leadership to reward hard work.
While promising to rally support for Hon. Aboh, the group recommended him to Gov. Yahaya Bello, pointing out that he is dependable and reliable in moving the council forward in line with the New Direction Agenda of the Administration.
