Governor Sheriff Oborevwori
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has been congratulated over the Election Petition Tribunal’s affirmation of his victory at the March 18, 2023 governorship polls.
The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba, Delta State recently struck out the petitions filed by the All Progressives Party’s (APC) governorship candidate in the State, Senator Ovie Omo Agege and those of the Labour Party(LP) Ken Pela and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Chief Kenneth Gbagi respectively, for lack of merit.
The Ewulu Vision League(EVL),Ewulu, Aniocha South Council, Delta State stated this in a congratulatory message to Governor Oborevwori signed by its President, Dr Ojii Israel and Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Nwagboniwe.
The group added that the governor’s victory at the tribunal was a clear indication that he enjoys the overwhelming mandate of Deltans, stressing that as a leader committed to taking the state to enviable heights,that God will continue to see him through in his leadership pursuit.
In the same vein, the EVL commended the recent appointment of one of Ewulu’s illustrious sons, Chief Nath Igbadi as a Special Adviser to Governor Oborevwori.
They added:”Igbadi’s appointment is an affirmation of his enviable track record as a man of impeccable character,integrity and wisdom who have contributed immensely not only to his community’s development,but that of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
They further affirmed:”We have no doubts that Igbadi will bring to bear his wealth of experience as an astute administrator and leader, in consolidating the Governor Oborevwori- led administration MORE agenda.”
They added that Governor Oborevwori was determined to change governance narrative in Delta State in terms of human and infrastructural development.
The group added:”Your victory at the tribunal is a victory for all Deltans and lovers of democracy.
“We believe that,as you have set out on the mission of building a more united and prosperous Delta State,we pray that you continue to be vindicated by the courts up to the Supreme Court should the suits go to that level.”
They commended the governor for his laudable programmes and projects since assumption of office,affirming that he was committed to purposeful and result – oriented leadership.
