FG: National Flag to Fly Half -Mast In Honour of late COAS, 10 Others.

The Federal Government had authourized that the national flag should fly at half- mast from Monday, May 24 to Wednesday 26 in honour of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Attahiru Ibrahim and 10 others who died in the ill-fated air crash in Kaduna on Friday.

The Secretary to the Federal Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha in a statement on Sunday said that President Muhammadu Buhari directed that the ritual should be carried out in all public buildings, facilities and official residences in the country.

He said; ” This approval is to honour the memory and services of the late Chief of Staff Lt Gen Attahiru Ibrahim and ten other seniour military and service members who lost their lives in the plane crash of Friday, 21st May, 2021. The President has approved a work free day for members of the armed forces on Monday, 24th May 2021.”
