Female Senator-Elect Shows Example by Declaring her Asset Ahead of Swearing -in On Tuesday

Plateau State’s first female senator-elect, Prof Ladi Nora Dadut, on Wednesday led the pack of new Senators-elect by declaring her assets in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct Bureau and the relevant sections in the Constitution.

Dadut who was accompanied by her Husband, John Dadut, Director-General of her campaign team, Senator Victor Lar, State Party Secretary Bulus Arut subsequently submitted her asset declaration forms as well as her Certificate of Return to the Clerk of the Senate, Mohammed El ladan in his office in Abuja.

The senator- elect thereafter visited her senior colleague Sen Nde Hezekiah Dimka who later led her to the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan. She won the South Senatorial Constituency contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC during the recent by-election in the state

While expressing delight at the emergence of a female senator from plateau state, Lawan paid glowing tributes to the late Sen Ignatius longjan’ of blessed memory.

With this asset declaration, the coast is clear for the swearing- in of Prof Dadut on Tuesday 13, which the Senate President has fixed for next week Tuesday,December 13, 2020.
