Hon Dinfa and late Dr Alexander Lar
The Former president of the Church of Christ in Nation, COCIN, Hon Ezekiel Dinfa has urged the members to see the death of Reverend Dr. Alexander Lar as God ordained even though a painful experience.
The late Dr Lar was a president of the church whose demise, Dinfa said, has created a vacuum in the church in Nigeria.
Mr Dinfa Ezekiel said, the youth saw the demise of Late Alexander Mamdip Lar, who passed away on Friday, January, 3rd, 2020 after a brief illness as a monumental lost to the family of the church in Africa ,adding, May his soul rest in peace with the Lord. Amen!
He explained further that, “I had the privilege of working under your leadership as the president of the church of Christ in nation. As a youth leader, I was humbled by your boldness, courage, which gave us strength in the faith. Sir, little did I know that your words of encouragement to me on the 26th December 2019 will be the last when I visited you at home in Langtang. Like you said there is nothing in this life without Christ.
Dinfa stated that desire for the church on the Plateau tis to emulate the late President who often stated that the church should recognize its place in government and pray for the leadership of the land and rebuked then when need be .
He described the death as a huge loss to the entire people of the Northern Region besides the immediate family of the deceased, adding that “the loss of Dr Karl is a major setback to Nigeria’s quest for religious beliefs and transparent , sufficiency given his vast knowledge and experience in church building and understanding of leadership.”
According to the statement signed by Prof. Uriah Alexander Lar on behalf of the family, the funeral arrangements of the late COCIN President, Reverend Dr. Alexander Lar has been fixed for Friday, January 17at the family residence, behind PRTV Studios, Rayfield in Jos the state capital, while the funeral rites would take place the next day at the COCIN Headquarters Church, Jos.
