Ibadan City Academy Old Students Association (ICAOSA) has pledged to support the Oyo State Government in its effort at promoting education and raising competent future leaders of the nation.
The group disclosed this in a statement signed by its Chairman, Publicity and Welfare Committee, Mr Olajide Laniyonu.
While pledging its support, the group said it appreciated the efforts of the government at overhauling the educational sector in the state and urged other alumni associations to support the government.
According to the him, “if everyone can contribute immensely to the development of their former schools, I am very sure that the educational sector would witness unparalleled improvement.
“We have started from our school and will support Oyo State Government in its efforts towards the development of the education sector. We urge all to embrace the initiative in building the future of our young ones.’’
The group hopes to inaugurate its Lagos Chapter on Saturday, June 3 at the LCCI Exhibition and Training Centre, Nurudeen Olowopopo Way, Opposite Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Alausa-Ikeja, Lagos-State.
The program would feature re-union memoirs; free medical check-up and health talk to be delivered by Dr. Gboyelade Oluwadamilare.
