The Governor Hope Uzodinma led Edo APC Primary Election Committee has declared Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as winner of the Edo State All Progressives Congress governorship primary conducted on Monday.
According Uzodinma, collated results turned in by the returning officers in the 18 local government areas of the state showed that Ize-Iyamu polled 27,838 votes, Dr Pius Odubu and Mr Osaro Obaze scored 3,776, and 2,751 respectively in the direct primary.
Ize-Iyamu will fly the party’s flag in the election scheduled to hold on September 19.
