NSCDC Commandant -General, Alhaji Gana Abdullahi
The commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Alhaji Gana Abdullahi Muhammed has deployed 25,000 personnel in Plateau to ensure a hitch free Easter celebration across the 17 local Government Area of the state.
The Plateau state commandant ,Olasopu Solomon in an interactive session with some journalists asked the people of the state to go sleep during the Easter day celebration .
“We assure the general public that nothing will intimidate them because all security agents were charge to keep surveillance in every parts of the town “
According to him, this development followed the order of Abdullahi Gana Muhammad who has instructed all the states commandant across the 36 states not to travel out of their station during the Easter Day celebration to ensure hitch free exercise
Solomon warned any group that would want to take advantage of the peacecul nature of the state commands to commit any offence or disrupt the hard end peace to be ready to face stiff resistance and wrath of law .
He appealed to parents and guardians to warn their children to stay away from trouble and troubled spots as the NSCDC has vowed not to tolerate any hooligans foment trouble in the name of religion, drinking or anti-social behaviour.
