Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has announced the death of the state’s first COVID-19 patient. At a press conference on Tuesday, the governor said the patient, Dr. Aminu Yakubu, a private Medical practitioner recently returned from Lagos to the state with the virus.
Yakubu, said the governor, died at the Daura based Military Hospital where he had reported himself upon his return from Lagos. He said, Yakuba had suffered from hepatitis and hypertension for the past three years.
He said a sample of the diseased showed he had coronavirus
