Team mates celebrate with Rudiger for his winning goal 2) De Gea saves penalty that would have leveled the game for W/Ham and 3) Brighton finishes off visiting Leicester
All premier league games played on Sunday kicked off with a minute of applause for late English footballing legend, Jimmy Greaves, who played for Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham
The matches started with a double fixture with West Ham going head to head with title contenders Manchester United. Said Benrahma opened scoring for the host in the 30th minute but it didn’t take too long before Cristiano Ronaldo replied in the 35th minute by scoring a tap into the empty net. Jesse Lingard proved to be the match winner in the 89th minute with a curling effort. Although, there was mild drama late on as West Ham was awarded a penalty in the closing minutes of the game after Man U’s Luke Shaw handball and the coach sent on Mark Noble to take the penalty which was saved by David de Gea.
Brighton 2-1 Leicester
Brighton surprised visiting Leicester in an entertaining encounter. Leicester had two of their goals disallowed in the second half for offside. Maupay and Dani Welbeck were on the score sheet for Brighton in the 35th and 50th minute respectively while Vardy goal in the 61th minute was not enough to prove a point for Bredan Rodgers side.
Tottenham 0-3 Chelsea
Chelsea took all three point at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium with goals from Thiago Silva, Kante and Antoinio Rudiger in the 49th , 57th and 91st minute respectively. Win takes Chelsea top of the Premier League table
