The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has assured Plateau State Government of his commitment to build army base in Mbar community in particular and more barracks and bases for the military across flashpoints in the country to tackle kidnapping business.
Musa reiterated plans to curb the menace of kidnapping in the country by deploying personnel across the length and breath of Nigeria to enable the military to complete the task of safeguarding lives and properties of Nigerian .
The CDS who spoke during the burial of Late Pa Dariye Defwan and Saratu Dariye Defwan in Ropp , Bokkos Local Government Council of Plateau State on Saturday was represented by Vice Chairman Middle Belt Journalists Forum, MBJF Comrade Emmanuel Stephen.
According to Stephen, “the CDS condemned the incessant attacks in Plateau State and middle belt states but solicit the cooperation of civilian populace to fish out the culprits as he appeals for the support in terms of budgetary allocation to the Armed Forces of Nigeria to aid unhindered discharge of its constitutional mandates.
General Musa applauded the former Governor Joshua Dariye for his commitment to the development of the middle belt people, saying the unity of oneness is sacrosanct that development can’t be achieve without peaceful coexistence .

He also called on the people and politicians in the zone to close rank to sort out their differences and accommodate one another to achieve success ”
The CDS, however, assured the president of the military’s commitment to rid the country of criminal elements and also promised to make Nigeria and Nigerians safer.
Dariye also expressed his confidence in the ability of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to tackle all the security challenges bedevilling the country.
He called on politicians and stakeholders in the state to continue to support the military to address challenges of insecurity in the country .
