Chairman of BUA Group Abdul Samad Rabiu has declined nomination by the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, as member of it’s Finance Committee.
The party during the week published the membership lists of it’s standing committee comprising Finance, Publicity, Intergovernmental, Establishment and Conflict Reconciliation, scheduled for inauguration on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in Abuja.
The group said it’s Chairman wishes to remain apolitical while making his contribution to national development as a businessman and philanthropist.
Besides, said the group, it’s Chairman was not informed or consulted before his name was published in the membership list in the newspaper.
“Our Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu is a form believer in leveraging business acumen and philanthropic activities to drive developments and positive societal changes independent of political participation. His primary contribution to Nigeria’s advancement will continue to be through strategic investments in the economy and philanthropy rather than through political affiliation and role. He however remains committed to government policies that fosters development as partners in progress. “
