Bello Hails FG’s Special Public Work Programme

The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has praised President Muhammadu Buhari for initaiting the Special Public Work Programme, assuring that it would certainly reduce poverty and the burden of the alarming unemployment in the country.

Bello while speaking at the flag- off ceremony for the programme in the state, said that the decision to introduce the Project for 774,000 Nigerians across the federation was timely and a welcome development for the empowerment of the future leaders.

He said the decision to introduce the programme was to make ordinary Nigerians feel government impact in every little way.

While charging the 21, 000 beneficiaries in the state to take advantage of the opportunity afforded them by the programme to improving themselves through skills acquisition to be self sufficient and self reliant, Bello noted that his administration was passionate about the same thing, restating his commitment to support the President in any way that would make life meaningful for the people of the country.

He reaffirmed his resolve to continue to embark on the projects that would improve the living conditions of the people.

The governor also assured that he will key into the federal government’s initiative to reduce poverty and unemployment to barest minimum.

Bello then urged the youths in the state not to relent in engaging themselves in self productive ventures and skills acquisition for self sustenance.
