At least no fewer than six(6) states in North Central zone of Nigeria have endorsed Dr Abul-Aziz Yari Abubakar for the position of Senate President seat in the 10th Assembly .
The campaign group under the aegis of The Yari Youth Support Group North-Central “for 10th Senate federal republic of Nigeria made this disclosure during a world press conference held at Tin city business district on Murtala way ,Jos .
The Coordinator of the group ,Engr Muhammad Sani described the former chairman of Northern Governors Forum as a visionary leader with the mission to transform the country political atmosphere if given the mandate to lead the senate .
He disclosed that Yari’s stewardship witness tremendous development and for that reason the north-central zone deems it necessary to support his aspirations for the Senate President.
According to him ,the group admonished the APC caucus to adhere strictly to the principle of zoning arrangement for better service delivery of democracy dividend in the country .
He stated the senate should carefully vote someone who has the quality and pedigree moving the senate forward in the areas of bills and laws that would deepen unity and promote democracy in the country.
While congratulating the President elect ,Sen.Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President Kashim Shettima on their landslide victory at polls, the Chairman of the group,Alh .Adam Muhammad Jos, said,
‘We support the candidacy of Governor Abdul-Aziz Yari Abubakar for making us proud in the just concluded elections in Nigeria by calling for the unity and oneness in Nigeria .
He said ,Abdul-Aziz is an amiable and and detribalize leader, if given the mandate would unite the senate leadership for the well-being of all a sundry to improve the welfare of the citizens .
Speaking further ,Alh Ibrahim Suleiman Abdullahi disclosed that the group would embark on campaign activities across the length and breadth of the 36 states, including Abuja to canvas votes for Abdul-Aziz Yari Abubakar’s victory .
“We shall mobilize through lobbying our youth participation to make the senators elect to see and reason with them on the choice of who emerge as APC majority leader at green chamber .
Hon Ibrahim Suleiman Abdullahi and Saibiu Musa reiterated that the victory of Abdul-Aziz Yari Abubakar is built on the Senator’s achievement in the political land space of the good people of Zamfara, especially the west senatorial district where he hails from.
Mrs Ruth Izam emphasized that the women in politics have contributed a lot in shaping the choice of leadership and urged Yari Abubakar to give more opportunity to them if given the chance to lead the Senate.
Other members of the group include Danjuma Coach ,Adam Muhammad ,Ibrahim Miango ,Muktar and Alh Adamutiku ,Engr Muktar Mohammed.
