The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled the Alh. Ishola Balogun-Fulani led Kwara State executive from the party.
Mr Yekini Nabena, National Publicity Secretary of the party in a statement did not give any reason for the expulsion, but there are indications that the Kwara chapter of the party may not have successfully broken ties with the Senate President, Dr Abukakar Saraki, who recently defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, raising fears of his influence and control of the party machinery by proxy
Also, the NWC, according to Nabena, has rescheduled governorship primaries in Ogun, Zamfara Bauchi and Abia States to Monday, while other primaries for other positions in Osun has been rescheduled from October 1 to 5, October.
