The leadership crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress took a turn for the worse on Monday as hundreds of members protesting the crisis rocking the party stormed the National Secretariat of the in Abuja and demanded that the entire National Working Committee NWC of the party be sacked.

Led by Okpokwu Ogenyi, the protesters who carried a large banner emblazoned with the wording of their mission:  Concerned APC Members; United We Stand, Divided We fall. The NCW Has Divided the Party With Highly Uncoordinated Leadership. We Want it Dissolved Now,  lamented that that the fortunes of the party have swindled since the present members of the NWC came on board..

Addressing journalists, Ogenyi, said the NCW has failed the party, and the earlier it is sacked the better for the members. He gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the party leaders to resolve the crisis or witness more of such protests across the country.

President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan had yesterday met with President Buhari and urged him to intervene in the crisis to restore some order, while some governors are locked in a meeting with Buhari in the Villa with Buhari
