Winner of the just concluded primary elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Langtang North -Central State Assembly, Nanbol Josiah Gommam has called for calm among party members and urged all contestants to bury their political differences for the progress of Tarok nation.
Speaking to our medium on phone on Friday, Gommam also called on the people of Langtang North-Central Constituency to support of the candidacy of Governor Simon Lalong as Senator and governorship candidate, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda.
He urged aggrieved members of the APC in Langtang North Central and Plateau State to sheaths their sword and work for the victory of the APC in the forthcoming general elections .
According to him ,”My victory is for all the people of Tarok land not for the APC family alone ,we pray to deliver on our campaign promises to our constituent not individuals .
Gommam said the party is committed to establishing a fair, free government that will fight against corruption and restore all rights of citizens under the leadership of Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, if elected .
He appealed to political gladiators to engage in issue-based campaigns, embrace religious tolerance and avoid hatred.
He said; “ I’m appealing to every Tarok sons and daughters that I’m not a political bigot nor a blackmailer . I want to promote peace, and I believe that with peace and stability, Tarok land will be better for us all. Let us join hands to make it conducive by electing those who have credibility. I beg you to vote for me as the next member to represent you at the Assembly and you won’t regret your decision.”
On Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, Gomman said the APC candidate is a great leader who would provide a template to consolidate on the current governor’s plan for peace because,” I believe our strength lies in our diversity and culture and when we are united there would be peace and stability in the state and Nigeria at large.”
“We should desist from anything that will jeopardize the culture and to the positive image of “home of peace and tourism “.
