The Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA Akwa Ibom State Chapter has announced a programme of event in a State Convention billed for Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th July.
Themed “The Nigerian Writer: Culture, Social Justice and Politics of The Land,” the event will be held at the Civil Service Auditorium at The Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo, the state capital.
Lectures will be rendered by erudite scholars, including Prof. Effiong Johnson of The Theatre Arts Department , University of Uyo and Prof.Obari Gomba ofthe Department of English and Literary Studies, University of Port Harcourt.
The occasion will witness presentation of awards and investiture to Senator Ekong Sampson, who represents Eket Senatorial District in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly and his colleague, Sen.Aniekan Bassey representing Uyo Senatorial District. Dr. Emmanuel Abraham, the Proprietor of Topfaith group of schools will also be honoured with an Award.
Winners of the just concluded competition in the three genres of literature, drama, prose and poetry organized by ANA Akwa Ibom State Chapter will be presented with prizes and cash during the event.
