President Bola Tinubu on Monday held a private meeting with former Kano State Governor and 2023 NNPP presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The closed-door meeting took place shortly after Kwankwaso attended the Nigeria Forest Economy Summit at the State House Conference Centre, marking the second time both leaders have met since Tinubu assumed office in 2023.
Their first meeting was on June 9, 2023, shortly after Tinubu’s inauguration.
While details of Monday’s talks remain undisclosed, sources confirmed the meeting was held at the President’s official residence, with restricted access.
Kwankwaso, a major political force in the North, has continued to draw attention amid growing speculation over possible political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
