An operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, identified as Remefy S. Yange, died on Sunday after he collapsed on a street in Lagos State.
According to several reports, Yange an outstanding operative known for his involvement in the investigation and prosecution of fraudulent cases in courts, was on leave from work to spend time with his family in Lagos.
Spokesperson of the anti-graft agency, Dele Oyewale, who confirmed the incident, said investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances behind the officer’s death.
