…Kogi Monarch Drums Support For Ododo’s Good Governance

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has hailed Governor Usman Ododo’s achievements to showcase his one year anniversary
President Bola Tinubu, represnted by Vice President Kashim Shettima on Monday, while commissioning multiple projects executed by Gov. Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State as part of his one year anniversary, described the footprint as a welcome development in moving the state forward.
Our Correspondent reports that the Vice president, who arrived the state in company of APC national Chairman, Dr Umar Ganduje and Edo Stste Governor, Monday Okpebholo, around 12.000 noon through Dangote Air strip, received a rousing welcome
They were gladly welcome and received by Gov. Ododo, his deputy, Joel Oyibo, former governors Yahaya Bello and Idris wada, Commissioners and other government officials.
Ododo led the vice president and his delegation to the Zone 8 round about in Lokoja Local Government Area where three road projects were commissioned at a go to tge chagrin of the residents of state.
The projects first commissioned in the state are Zone 8-Zango Daji- Kaduna Junction road (9Km), Zone 8 – Crusher Road (5.5Km)
Other projects include 350 bed hostels for both boys and girls in Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Demonstration farm, two faculties in the same university and some PHCs across the state.
Addressing the President’s delegation, Gov Ododo said the projects executed were a demonstration of his desire to improve tge wellbeing of the people of Kogi State.
Ododo said that the projects scattered across the state were part of campaign promises to the people who elected him into office to serve them as their chief servant.
He thanked his predecessor for laying a solid foundation for him to consolidate upon for the growth and development of the state.
Immediately after commissioning the projects the Vice president and his entourage were moved to Government House, where they had some private chat with stakeholders in the state before moving to Muhamadu Buhari Square for the proper anniversary Celebration.
Meanwhile, the Etsu Lokoja, HRH Emmanuel Akamisoko Dauda-Shelika, Nyamkpa IV, has given an assurance that traditional institution will continue to co-operate with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s led administration to sustain the prevailing good governance put in place in the last one year.
Dauda-Shelika, in his assessment of Governor Ododo’s leadership journey so far, affirmed that his numerous achievements within one year in office is a signal of sound beginning in delivering more democracy dividends to the people of the state.
The monarch pledged the unalloyed and continued commitment and loyalty of the Native Nupe of Lokoja, home and abroad to his Government towards the attainment of his Administration’s developmental goals.
“Your Excellency Sir, On behalf of the Nupe Natives of Lokoja home and abroad I felicitate with His Excellency Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo on this special occasion of his one year anniversary of unparalleled stewardship as Executive Governor of Kogi State. This far, so good. Glory be to God for a very commendable scorecard.
“By your leadership in the last one year you have tranquilized the entire State by pulling the people out of deep despair and hopelessness despite the multi-level depressions occasioned by several factors. It is true as the Holy Books say, “When the Righteous rules, the people rejoice…”.
“Hardly is any ill-saying about your Administration heard anywhere across the State. Bravo!!! Your Excellency, Sir.
“Your Excellency Sir, through your Administration, you have continued to strategically diagnosed the maladies of Kogi State and promptly attending them in their order of priority. Little wonder, there is the calm and hopeful smile that Kogi wears.
“Your approach left no spectrum of the Kogi society unaffected. Kudos, Your Excellency, Sir.
“In one year of your leadership, so much across the State are the evidence of your exemplary righteous governance touching workers’ welfare, education, infrastructural development, health, security of lives and properties among others.
“It remains our prayer that God the most merciful and most benevolent would continue to uphold you and grant you uncommon wisdom and courage to break more grounds until Kogi State become singled out from among the others as the best in all ramifications.

The royal father also use the the opportunity to appeal to the governor and the security agencies to expedite investigation and prompt action from Government, in bringing those behind the attack on his residence to justice.
