The Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council of Plateau State, Hon.Sati Shuwa has condemned the daily massacre of his people in night by unknown gunmen
In conversation with our medium in Jos, the state capital, Hon Shuwa commiserated with the victims, saying: “I am deeply disturbed by the murder of my people , since I took oath of office everyday I have been attending burial of innocence Nigerian killed by gunmen who seem to be on loose and bent on creating chaos and disorder in our dear Council.
“This heinous act of killings, where innocent lives are being brutally snatched away, and communities thrown into chaos, is a direct affront to the values of peace and unity that we hold dear.
“This persistent attack on innocent people in our various communities is a matter of grave concern because security is one of the cardinal objectives of any serious government.”
According to him, “It is very important to call on the security in Plateau under the leadership of General Abubakar to take proactive measure and to make sure that the council of does not slide into a theatre of terrorism and extreme violence.’
Sati lamented that the council is under serious attacks by suspected Fulani marauders coming to killed and butchered his people everyday.
