Man Arrested For Hacking Into Lawmaker’s Facebook Account

Men of Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Ojo Adebowale a security guard with Proton Guard Limited in Lagos state for hacking into the facebook account of a lawmaker representing Ipokia/Idiroko State constituency in Ogun State House of assembly, Ojo Adebowale Viwanu.

Detectives attached to Ibara Divisional headquarters where the lawmaker has earlier complained that an unknown person has hacked into his facebook account and using it to defraud unsuspecting members of the public of their hard earned money tracked down the suspect in Lagos State. The lawmaker revealed that some of his associates have fallen victim of the impostor.

On the strength of his complaint, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO)  Ibara Division Chief Superintendent of Police (DPO) Abiodun Bakare detailed some detectives to unravel the person behind the dastardly act. Their efforts paid off when the suspect was eventually traced to his Lagos hideout where he was arrested. He has made confessional statement to Police.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the suspect be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
