Following his suspension by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa has been invited for for investigation by the Department of State Services, DSS.
Public Relations Officer of the DSS, Peter Afunanya, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday night.
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, approved the indefinite suspension of Bawa over weighty allegations of abuse of office levelled against him, while he was asked to handover office to the next senior officer of the spy agency, Abdulkarim Chukkol, Director of Operations.
According to Afunanya,“The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bawa arrived a few hours ago.
“The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him”, Afunanya said in as statement.
