The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has registered the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) and four other new political parties. The APDA was on Tuesday unveiled at the Sheraton Hotels and Tower in Abuja by media chief, Chief Raymond Dokpesi and businessman Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, both ex-members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The other four parties registered by the electoral umpire are: Young Progressive Party (YPP), New Generation Party of Nigeria (NGP), All Democratic Peoples Movement (ADPM) and Action Democratic Party (ADP).
These are the parties out of a total number of 90 associations, which sought registration, that scaled the Commission’s guidelines, it said on Wednesday.
