Lets Bury Past Conflicts , Embrace Peace, Ex-PDP Chairman, Sango Says At 71st Birthday

The former Chairman of the People Democratic Party ,PDP, in Plateau state , Damishi Sango has extended appreciation to stakeholders of the party and associates for the overwhelming support accorded him during his the celebration of his 71 birthday and said it was time to embrace peace and bury conflicts and disagreements of the past.

He said ,”I lack adequate words to express my appreciation to all of you for the prayers and good wishes you lavished to me on my 71st birthday”.

“I am indeed touched by the kind words coming from my Elders, political associates and children. These messages of solidarity came across political divide, i am really humbled”.

Sango maintained that “at 71, I have no option than to see all my friends, my children and my grandchildren growing up in life and I thank God Almighty for given me the grace to witness this great day .

He pointed out that, “On a sober reflection, let us bury the hatchet and build a Plateau of our dreams that can be equate to our children to emulate the good gesture of our founding fathers .

“I salute the courage of our Youth, Women and Elders in the State who have remained prayerful, united and resolute even in the face of intimidation by insecurity, kidnappings and other evil things that have been a cog in the wheel of progress in the State and country as a whole.

“No matter the challenges ,we are passing through in the country, either with governance, insecurity or economy, we must look at the future with hope and optimism.

“Although we may seem to be in the valley of dry bones, dry bones shall rise again.

“On behalf of my family, I appreciate you all and I sincerely pray that all of you that are less than our age will live to enjoy the Grace of God beyond this age. Let us Live in Love.
