The Coalition for Justice and Equity (COJE) has appealed to Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu to recall his Chief of Staff (CoS), Anthony Agbazuere, who was suspended penultimate Sunday.

This was contained in a press statement by the president and secretary of the coalition, Christian Nwafor and Uche Nwosu respectively, which was made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the state capital.

Although as at press time no reason has been given for the action, the governor had in a statement signed by the secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chris Ezem ordered the immediate suspension of the CoS.

Since then, there has been allusions in many quarters that the action may not be unconnected with a video cottage of the trade unionist and legal practitioner spraying money on controversial Pastor Odumeje in his office.

The coalition argued that before the unfortunate accident, the CoS, who has served as a council Chairman and Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the state has been working very hard for his principal.

“We plead with the governor, His Excellency, Okezie Ikpeazu, as the father of the state, a devout Christian, and in the spirit of magnanimity forgive and reinstate his hardworking chief of staff,” they said.
