The Chairman of Etsako Central Local Government Council, Comrade John Osi Akhigbe felicitates with muslims in Etsako Central LGA as they join others across the globe to mark Eid-El Kabir today.
In his Eid-El Kabir message made available through his Media Aide, Comrade Ibrahim Umaru, The Council Boss heartily felicitates with the Muslims Ummah on the occasion of the Eid-El Kabir being celebrated by the entire Ummah today.
Describing the festival, Akhigbe said this is a period when muslims should not only extend love and generosity to their likes, but also to the adherents of other faith. Islam preaches Love and generosity to humanity among other virtues.
He beseeched the Muslim to use the special day to pray for Nigeria, especially Edo State to let’s peace reign in the forthcoming governorship election and to make our Edo heart desire, Godwin Obaseki and Comrade Philip Shaibu to come out victorious in September 19.
The Council Chairman also admonished the Muslims to imbibe the teaching of their faiths and and ensure that the moral reasons behind the sacrifice on this day becomes a lifetime affair.
Finally Akhigbe called on all Muslims faithful in Etsako Central, Edo State and other well meaning People Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria to support the people’s Governor during his re-election bid. Go about your celebration peacefully and orderly with reward and joy of the festival, he said.
