The Five Toyota Hilux Vehicles Donated by Dangote Group of Companies to Kogi Government to combat crimes in the state at the weekend
The Dangote Group over the weekend, donated five Toyota Hilux vehicles to Kogi state government as part of its effort to complement government’s fight against alarming cases of robbery, kidnapping and other forms of crimes ravaging the state.
The gesture according to a delegation from Dangote Group of Companies that presented the vehicles to Kogi government was part of the organization’s social responsibility services initiatives for the host community.
The Chief of Staff to Kogi Governor, Jamiu Abdulkareem who received the donation at the Government House on behalf of the State Government, commended the company for its assistance to the state.
He noted that the donation was part of the organisation’ s support to boost the Governor’s fight against all forms of insecurity and criminality in the state
The COS stated that Dangote group have one of the largest cement plant, located at Obajana in Kogi state.
Abdul Kareem pointed out that for them to be able to function effectively, they need a well secured environment which the Governor have been striving to provide
Abdulkareem acknowledged the fact that the donation was a show of appreciation by Dangote Company and a recognition of the effort of the Governor pleading for more of such gesture.
The COS urged the law abiding citizens of the state to continue in such good conduct warning those that have taken criminality as a hobby to desist forthwith.
He added that the state Government under Governor Bello’s watch would not give them space for their hobby
“We will pursue them, until they are no where to be found within the environ of the state” He affirmed.
